CleanEx 2018 – Speakers corner

We have some inspirational speakers lined up for you this year. Here’s a taster of who and what to expect. There will be a full line up and schedule in next month’s Show Guide Issue. See below in no particular order…

Vikas ShahProfessor Vikas Shah MBE
Professor Vikas Shah MBE is one of the UK’s highest profile entrepreneurs and business commentators. He is a regular speaker and host at conferences around the world and consults for a wide-range of businesses. Vikas is CEO of Swiscot Group, a diversified international trading business, a venture investor in numerous businesses internationally, and co-founder of 53 Degrees North, a feature film studio. In January 2018 he was awarded an MBE for Services to Business and the Economy.

Pam Warren
is an international speaker on change and disruption and the Paddington train crash survivor known as ‘The Lady in the Mask.’ She turned a disaster into the most positive thing to ever happen to her. Her story will inspire audiences and show them how, they too, can overcome apparently insurmountable challenges.

Keith S. Cass MBE is founder of the Red Sock Campaign.  Its aim is to help the uninformed man to become the informed man, about the risks and benefits of being tested for prostate cancer, and to support all those affected by prostate cancer.

Dave Jenkins+ Rob Weir-CleanEx-speakers-HJ-WeirDriver Dave Jenkins and Rob Weir
Rob is part of the family dynasty known throughout the industry as HJ Weir, manufacturers and suppliers of laundry equipment. His passion for cars has led him to start rallying.  In 2013 Rob suffered life threatening injuries after crashing at speeds approaching 90mph. Having recovered he took up the challenge again in 2015. For 2018 Rob will be managing the team as it returns to Barbados in the Escort Mk2, with experienced driver Dave Jenkins and his son Ross, HJ Weir managing director, as co-driver.

 

Dan ShepherdDan Shepherd
Dan Shepherd won the SME Laundry of the Year at the LADAs 2018.  He launched CanDo Laundry Services just three years ago and, now aged just 25 he’s quickly become a successful businessman and has been shortlisted for several young entrepreneur business awards. After leaving Swansea University in 2012 he saw a gap in the market in South Wales for setting up an independent laundry. Daniel now services many hotels, B&B’s and holiday cottages. Daniel has now become well known for his drive and passion for this industry and is fast becoming an accomplished speaker and is using modern media channels to spread his message.

Tabish Aiman is a serial entrepreneur and has been an accomplished business leader working for such companies as DAS USA, occupying the role as sales director and president. After leaving Tabish set up a business Aim 4 Ventures Limited before setting up his latest venture TEX ID in 2016 to change ways and attitudes to purchasing decisions due to technology advances.

Conor WilsonConor Wilson
Conor Wilson is the cofounder of Sproose Innovation, a platform aiming to support local businesses get online and market effectively to an increasingly tech savvy and digital customer base. He will talk about the new age of digital marketing and the techniques and advantages of stepping into the laundry and dry cleaning collection arena.

 

Shaf Govind CRDN Cleanex speakerShaf Govind  – CRDN
Shaf Govind will be talking about his experience as an entrepreneur in the laundry and drycleaning business in the UK, what he learnt from the launch and growth of CRDN and how this translates to his other businesses. He’ll be sharing his knowledge about franchising a business and the best ways to develop and grow a network to its maximum potential.
